Filter Dread's amazing Format (2015) has got a successor! Format 2 is a killer 4 track conceptual sequel, switching from unsetting ambient soundscapes to the groovy broken post-jungle madness. On the new album Filter Dread is again deconstructing rhythmical structures of a club music from the last three decades a he puts them together into colourful, yet cold and dehumanized sonical clots. Nearly 60 minutes long record divided into four longer tracks rolls itself from psychotic ambient soundscapes to broken groove of a filtered and reduced post-jungle/post-grime. New record comes out as a digital release and a limited edition of 70 cassettes. Filter Dread's experimental approach towards music makes him a unique and highly original musician of contemporary club scene. He became known mostly because of the last year‘s splendid EP Interfere (together with Acre) released on a Berlin based label Codes (a sublabel of a famous PAN label). A longlasting friendship brought him also to a Lost Codes label runned by a talented post-grime producer Visionist. In 2014 Filter Dread released a 12‘ MIDI Space on a Ramp Recordings, that have released many vinyls to major stars like Zomby, SBTRTK, FaltyDL or Slugabed.
